Operations Roles

We are always accepting applications for the following roles:

We are seeking full-time superintendents in both office regions – DFW and El Paso.

OVERVIEW

The Project Manager plans and supervises the construction procedures and ensures tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The position’s main duties are to ensure the efficiency of each project from start to finish. The Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, demonstrated skills in written and verbal communications, ability to problem solve and able to manage multiple projects at once in the absence of day-to-day guidance.

DUTIES

  • Project Start-Up
    • Coordinate pre-build meetings with all involved parties
    • Set up new projects in PlanGrid
  • Submittals
    • Create and maintain submittal log for each project
    • Collect and input subcontractor contact information and project specific information for each scope
  • Meetings
    • Coordinate all project meetings – Pre-Construction, Subcontractor, and Owner
    • Assist the Project Manager with meeting agendas
    • Take notes and assign action items
    • Distribute meeting minutes to all parties involved
  • Document Management
    • Manage all ASI’s, PR’s, RFI’s, and schedule updates for each project
  • Project Closeout
    • Schedule owner training meetings
    • Request needed information and compile closeout packages to deliver to architect and owner

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field of study (preferred – not mandatory)
  • 4+ years’ experience in supporting K-12 construction projects at a GC level (preferred – not mandatory)
  • Experience with Bluebeam and PlanGrid, preferred (preferred – not mandatory)
  • Ability to professionally perform multiple, detailed-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines
  • Proficient with technology, including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

We are seeking full-time superintendents in both office regions – DFW and El Paso.

OVERVIEW

Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management on construction project site. Schedule, coordinate and supervise craft employee activities. May involve supervising one or more trade groups (electricians, HVAC/mechanical, carpenters, etc.) working in construction discipline (commercial general construction).  This position requires travel.

DUTIES

  • Supervise total construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the design budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, Architect / Engineer representatives, other contractors, etc.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions (scheduling, engineering, material control)
  • Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.
  • Coordinate assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments or other contractors.
  • May authorize and/or approve all purchase requisitions, field design change requests, etc
  • Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. Maintain liaison with engineering, estimating and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
  • Ensure all on-site personnel complies with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc.
  • Document all violations, notify project management, recommend / implement corrective actions as required. Ensure corrective measures are implemented.
  • Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
  • Perform additional assignments when required

EXPERIENCE

  • Education and experience include a four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
  • Minimum of ten years of construction management and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, cost control schedules and safety required. Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills essential. This position is normally one of independent project supervision on one large extensive project.
  • Good attendance and being punctual is an essential requirement for this position.

We are seeking full-time assistant superintendents in both office regions – DFW and El Paso.

OVERVIEW

The Assistant Superintendent’s primary responsibility is to support the Superintendent and Project Manager in the successful completion of assigned projects. The Assistant Superintendent participates in overseeing job site safety, quality, project scheduling, and communications with the architect and consultants on field and constructability issues.

DUTIES

  • Assist in managing the field and project team successfully
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships and communication with client, project team, architect/engineers, subcontractors, etc.
  • Assist with setting up job site logistics, field coordination, and project schedule
  • Participate in the review all project documents for constructability and content, including shop drawings
  • Maintain and update project records including RFI’s, ASI’s and as-builts
  • Assist with creating and enforcing a site-specific emergency action plan for assigned projects in collaboration with the Safety Director and operations team
  • Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, architects & district staff
  • Coordinate with inspections
  • In collaboration with the Superintendent perform daily job site walks and submit daily reports
  • Conduct and/or attend owner/architect meetings, pre-construction meeting, safety meetings and subcontractor meetings
  • Assist with the management of job site manpower production and performance

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field of study (preferred – not mandatory)
  • 2+ years’ experience in supporting K-12 construction projects at a GC level (preferred – not mandatory)
  • Experience with Bluebeam and PlanGrid, preferred (preferred – not mandatory)
  • Ability to professionally perform multiple, detailed-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines
  • Have understanding of the construction industry, general safety requirements, building trades and sequence of work
  • Must be able to read and understand plans and specifications
  • Proficient with technology, including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • The Assistant Superintendent is regularly required to:
    • Walk, climb stairs, sit, and stand.
    • Talk and hear at normal levels.
    • See with close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and have the ability to adjust focus.
    • Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
